About Me & other hobbies!

Before I fell in love with Powertex and Upholstery, I had lots of other hobbies, some of which I still do!!!  I’ve always been a bit “crafty”! I’ve made cards, cakes, scrapbooks, bags, fairy doors, dolls houses….I’ve done wedding planning, event management, hotel management, admin, computer building, archery and air rifle training, halloween displays, funeral arranging……..so many weird and wonderful things!!!

If I haven’t bored you yet, take a look below for photos of some of my other projects and events!

Halloween

Halloween is my favourite time of the year!  I dress up, I have parties and I put on displays for charity, raising over £1000 in the last few years for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.

Halloween is also my Wedding Anniversary!! The most amazing, sunny, loving Saturday in 2015!

Knot Bags & Fairy Doors

I’ve been making Japanese Knot Bags for a few years now and still make them now!!!  They are so useful and unusual and perfect for every occasion.

My Fairy Doors were very popular and I probably made over 1000, all by hand! (However I no longer make Fairy Doors)

Dolls Houses

I have made over 10 dolls houses/shops however, The Castle is probably my most complete and also the biggest at over 4′ wide and 4′ tall. I also won a Special Commendation Award at the Kensington Dolls House Festival.

My 2 main dolls houses have pages on facebook, www.facebook.com/theminicastle and www.facebook.com/theminichurch
